It’s official, the E-Twow Booster GT is my best friend, and I only met her last month.

Two-weeks ago I was completely alien to the e-scooter experience. I was surrounded by them everyday but never actually got the chance to try it out myself.

In the space of 3 weeks, life without the E-Twow GT Booster has become inconceivable, and life with it well, simple and fast.

(Nearly) As light as a feather

I can carry this scooter pretty much anywhere. And I mean anywhere. Whether it’s up a flight of stairs or a flight abroad. The lean, compact GT frame can fit in any setting or occasion. Quite epic.

It’s ultra portability is a huge asset as a Londoner, as I regularly combine public transport with a GT ride.

Efficiency

Love me some efficiency, and clearly so does E-Twow!

It’s kinetic energy recovery system (KERS technology) — first developed for high-performance sports cars — maximises the distance you can cover by recovering energy normally lost through braking.

This clever feature has saved me lots of energy on rides. Living in a fairly hilly neighbourhood, it’s comforting to know that I’m rewarded for using good old fashioned gravity on downhills ahead of a big uphill effort.

As a commuter scooter, it’s 504 Wh battery life has done me justice for longer trips. With regular trips from my home on the East London outskirts deep into the heart of London.

Even when I run out out battery, it’s criminally easy to fold the GT up transformer style and continue my journey by public transport or cab.

As a non-driver, the E-Twow has become my primary means of transport, shaving hours of journey time off of my usual TFL commutes in only a matter of weeks!

The perfect ‘last mile’ scooter.

Like anything else in life, you pay for what you get. Retailing at £895, I would argue that the E-Twow actually provides greater value than its cheaper commuter alternatives such as the Xioami MI 1S (retailing at £445). I’ll explain why:

With the E-Twow, I have the lightest high-performance scooter in the market:

Its top speed of 25 mph acts as a safety feature which largely runs under a 20mph zone. With a Xiaomi MI 1S however, a 15 mph would make you more vulnerable to being overtaken by vehicles and will not give you the ease of mind that the E-Twow scooter would.

This is a considerable upgrade on the Xiaomi MI 1S (you can also find in our East London store) which has max speed of 15 mph.

I don’t know what more I have to say to be fair. The E-Twow GT Booster pretty much has said it all.

If you’re looking for your perfect ride make sure you check out the PET range or even book a test ride at the East London showroom. They’ve got superb service so don’t be shy to give them a call if you have any scooter or electric vehicle related questions.
