Well known for its smartphones the Xiaomi brand has made waves in the personal electric vehicle revolution with their successful and popular Xiaomi scooters.

One of the best-selling electric scooter brands and one of the first scooter models to rise in the market was the Xiaomi M365. This Xiaomi electric scooter was first released in China in 2016 and followed through to America and Europe in 2017 and 2018.

These scooters really found their place in the landscape of electric scooters after Bird the rental scooter company, first put their fleets on roads all around the world.

So chances are that a Xiaomi was probably one of the first electric scooters that ever caught your attention as it whizzed by. Since then they have released their new range, including the Essential, 1S and Pro 2.

A huge problem that we see with Xiaomi scooter models in our workshop is that they’ve been copied by many factories in China. So unless you’re purchasing from a reputable dealership, you might find yourself with a poor quality build or in the worst cases, a dangerous vehicle. Sometimes what is being sold as a Xiaomi simply isn’t. For this reason, we do urge those in the market for a Xiaomi scooter to buy from a trusted dealer who can perform any warranty repairs in house. This will save you the time, cash and hassle of sending your PEV back and forth to China when something needs to get fixed.
